18-Year-Old Student Auctions Her Virginity To Pay Mother’s Medical Bills

An 18-year-old high school student, Rebecca Bernado is auctioning her virginity to the highest bidder in an effort to raise money for her ailing mother who recently suffered stroke. 

The teen who made the announcement via YouTube says she has so far received three bids with the highest bidder offering $35,000. 'I made up my mind right after my 18th birthday. That's when my mother suffered a stroke.'

The Sapeacu native said she had tried other methods of employment, such a working as a waitress, but the cost of paying for a caretaker to look after her bedridden mother proved too high for her hourly wages as the stroke left her mother unable to fed herself or go to the bathroom alone.

However her mother told CNN from her bed that she thinks her daughter 'should look for work.

'She shouldn't prostitute herself,' she said.

Bernardo says she was inspired by another Brazilian Catarina Migliorini, 20, who auctioned her virginity three months ago for $780,000 through an Australian website.
